Latin American Heritage Month
The Honourable Marc Miller, Minister of Canadian Identity and Heritage and Minister responsible for Official Languages, made the following statement:
“Every day, more than half a million people of Latin American origin enrich our country and help shape our communities. Coming from 22 countries, Latin American Canadians bring a diversity of languages—from Spanish and Portuguese to hundreds of Indigenous languages—as well as a mosaic of traditions and experiences that make our society stronger."
